My hair color has been an evolution of whatever I believe to be gray/silver/platinum for the past two years. It's been a love/hate process; love the results but hate the process, and the damage. I've had the best of the best from Redken work on my color and I hope it was much a labor of love for them as it was for me.
Since social media has made today known as #tbt I would like to give a good bunch in honor of all the beautiful changes my hair has gone thru.
I was totally falling for the whole gray hair trend; I wanted my hair as silver as possible. To my healthy hair's demise I succumbed to lifting the color in multiple processes; it needed to be at the most white/pale shade as possible so whatever cool toner I put on top of it showed. Sucks how dry your hair can get from doing all this but still...I stay on fleek...
From super blonde, to rose gold, to raspberry, to my now snow-queen white...I FINALLY MADE IT! And with that, my hair is growing. But like a true gemini I need some change and I don't know if I should continue on with the shade or go for another cool cut.
Either way, it's going to be fun. As much as it pains me every time I think about the shit I put my hair thru I've also invested just as much in restoring the health of it. Redken's Extreme haircare line has been my savior! What I lack in protein it gives back. You can ask anyone who's worked on my hair; they are impressed by how healthy it looks and feels in person.
I got till August to decide my next route. Knowing me, you'll probably see something earlier than that. Here's to more platinum #tbt's!
Don't waste your pretty,
